Alexis Avila Founder/President of Prepped & Polished discusses three SAT insider tips.

Tip 1. Do not spend a lot of time on sentence completions sections on the critical reading SAT section.
Tip 2. On the SAT math fill-in section, skip around a little bit.
Tip 3. Answer all six of the paragraph improvement questions on the writing SAT grammar section.

Three SAT insider tips

Tip #1

Don’t spend a lot of time on those sentence completion questions. On any critical reading section, most of the questions are based on the reading. So scurry through those sentence completion questions and get right to the reading.

Tip #2

On the math fill-in section, skip around a little bit. Answer all the easy and medium questions. So, there are eight multiple-choice questions, and then there are ten fill-in questions. Answer about the first six multiple-choice questions. Skip right to the fill-in section and answer about seven or eight of those, and then go back and tackle all the hard-level questions for the multiple choice and then the fill-ins.

Tip #3

On the writing grammar section (25 minutes section), there are 6 paragraph improvement questions at the end of the section, and there’s seldom a hard question among those six. So, never skip a paragraph improvement question, okay and, you won’t be sorry.

I hope you enjoyed your insider tips, and I will talk to you later.
