ACT Instructor Terri K. of Prepped & Polished, LLC in South Natick, MA goes over 3 ACT facts that you might not know.

Today, I’m going to share three facts that you might not know about the ACT, a curriculum-based achievement test that has assessed college and career readiness for over 50 years.

3 ACT facts you should know

1. ALL 4-year colleges and universities currently accept the ACT. In fact, in 2013 the number of students taking the ACT surpassed the SAT takers for the first time.

2. There will be enhancements to the ACT based on ongoing research and evidence. Starting in 2015, students will receive new scores and indicators designed to give additional insights into student performance

3. The most challenging aspect of the 4-hour ACT test is managing the PACING within each section so you can get to as many of the multiple-choice questions as possible so you need to know the format of the test.

Bonus tip

The ACT is the only national college admission test based on the number of correct answers. You’re not penalized for guessing and
that’s a plus.
