Alexis Avila of Prepped and Polished shares his morning routine which jumps starts his day.

Basically, I’m not a morning person. I’m gonna be completely honest with you. But I’ve been trying to work on that, and I do these six things, and it really helps. I have been doing it consistently for almost two years.

  1. Think three things grateful for: I think of three things I’m grateful for in the morning.
  2. Make bed: I make my bed as the small things do count.
  3. Pushups, sit ups, squats: I do any kind of exercise just to kind of make myself stronger.
  4. Stretch: I stretch so that I can just be a little bit more agile in my day.
  5. Journal: I focus on one thing from my journal to help guide my day.
  6. Read: I read five pages from a book to get my mind sharp.

I’m still not really a morning person, but it does help lighten my morning, and I hope that helps.
