Aaron of Prepped and Polished gives a pep talk to those who consider themselves bad at standardized tests such as the SAT and ACT.

I have had the pleasure of working with a lot of different students on different standardized tests throughout the years, whether it be the ACT, SAT, SSAT or any other kind of standardized test for either the AP courses or now discontinued SAT subject tests . One thing that I’ve always heard from a variety of students is how they can better themselves when they view themselves as being bad on standardized tests.

My Advice

Do some self-reflection and figure out what is and what is not working for you when taking standardized test. Think about asking for help and know that Prepped and Polished is here as a resource. Once you find someone, it doesn’t have to be us; if you find someone that is helping you stay accountable and work towards your goals, then practice. Keep practicing and keep working until you can succeed.
