Alexis Avila, Founder
Frequently quoted by U.S. News & World Report, Alexis founded Prepped and Polished to help elementary, secondary, college-level, and adult students improve their grades and test scores. While tutoring for several small and large commercial test prep companies, Alexis envisioned growing his own independent educational services company run entirely by educators, for the love of education.
Alexis and other members of the Prepped and Polished team have collectively traveled one hundred thousand miles to educate students in person, working with well over a thousand families. Described by students as supportive, patient, and enthusiastic, Alexis has helped students and adults gain confidence, maximize their academic potential, and achieve dramatically improved grades and test scores.

At Prepped and Polished, we tailor a customized tutoring program to fit your student based on their specific needs, goals, and lifestyle. We offer test preparation for SAT, ACT, AP exam, graduate school entry exam, ISEE, SAT subject tests, and SSAT. Prepped and Polished’s founder, Alexis, has made it his mission “to provide the best tutoring and test preparation services available anywhere.” We accomplish this by offering both in-person tutoring sessions at our Natick and Wellesley, Massachusetts locations as well as national and international one-on-one tutoring, locally or remotely from anywhere in the United States and around the world.
In addition to SAT and ACT prep we work with students of all ages, learning styles, and levels of experience to drastically improve their academic performance in specific subjects like math (arithmetic, algebra, geometry, trigonometry, pre-calculus, calculus, statistics, and more), science (biology, chemistry, physics, earth science, physiology, anatomy, and more), languages (Spanish, French, Latin, German, Korean, Chinese, Farsi and more), history (US, world, sociology, psychology and more), English (writing, essay editing, critical reading, grammar review, vocabulary, literature, and more).
