On episode 156, Alexis Avila speaks to Jordan Schanda, founder of ScholarPrep a company that helps students set goals, track their progress and organize all of the information they will need for college and scholarship applications.

ScholarPrep was created by Jordan and her mother, Christina, based on their personal experiences with the college and scholarship application process. The mother-daughter team developed ScholarPrep after Jordan’s successful yet, overwhelming and stressful, experience applying for college and scholarships.

On today’s episode Jordan talks about how students can stay organized and on top of their college admissions process.

Jordan’s tips for staying on top of the college admissions process:

  1. start right after 8th grade
  2. indentify your specific interests so you can delve into them
  3. get organized either by paper or digitally and have a catch-all device ex) use a file folder
