U.S. News & World Report GRE article highlights a Prepped & Polished test prep tip.

Tip 1. Take rigorous college English courses.
Tip 2. Prep at least two months before the GRE exam.
Tip 3. Work with a tutor and have him or her assign you two practice tests per week.

If you’re in college and you’re thinking about going to graduate school, most likely you’re going to take the GRE, Graduate Record Examination.

Highlighted Tip

US News and World Report recently highlighted one of my GRE tips, which was to basically make sure that you take a few rigorous English courses during college to help yourself prepare for the analytical writing section that you’ll find on the GRE where you’re going to have to write two essays under pressure.

GRE Tip #2

In addition, I also  recommend that you spend at least two months preparing for the GRE, learn the online test format, pacing and strategies, and add a few more months of prep to that if you need to go back and review math concepts. It usually takes a little longer for math to sink in.

GRE Tip #3

I also recommend that you find an experienced private tutor to work with you one-on-one or a group course. Make sure your instructor assigns you a few practice tests per week so that you gain confidence each time you take it and better your score each time you take it.

So, do a few of these things to help you prepare for the Graduate Record Examination, and I wish you good luck on the GRE.

I’ll talk to you soon.

Which of the above GRE tips do you find most useful? Do you have any others?
